Su mirada se aleja deliberadamente de los estereotipos y abunda en las disonancias y sincronías que ha ido encontrando en su búsqueda de la memoria ancestral del ser humano; una memoria en permanente colisión con las imágenes híbridas de la contemporaneidad.
In his work on Ethiopia, Castro Prieto deploys a canvas of disturbing oneiric and ambiguous beauty. It is the iconography of a mutating time that deactivates our expectations of exoticism and timelessness. He deliberately looks away from the stereotypes and goes into detail about the dissonances and synchronies which he has found in his search for the ancestral memory of the human being; a memory in permanent collision with the hybrid images of contemporariness.
